Identity Theft was created as a reaction to the gradual dehumanization within our society. There is a startling similarity between cults and our mainstream culture. Each manipulates minds to fit into what is acceptable for their society to function. The characters expand and contract to reflect our mechanized manipulation.
In this video I will show you some of the ways that I ink my pencil drawings. This is my first video tutorial, so I would appreciate any advice or tips.
I have been working for Go Media for only a few months now. I was amazed to find out that these guys are located in good-old Cleveland, Ohio. From the start, I have been involved in an array of diverse projects. There’s not a day where I don’t have my hands in something new. One of the greatest qualities of Go Media has been the freedom to express my ideas; there is ample opportunity to learn.
Prior to Go Media, I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a BFA in Design. Shortly after graduation I took my first job with a small, entirely female design firm out of Toledo. I learned to interact with clients and developed some of my web skills. That was my first taste of the real world, also paying for that large college loan was tuff at first. This video is a brief introduction into how to prepare a font you design in Adobe Illustrator for Fontlab. Fontlab is the program of choice for building and managing fonts. There are a few steps that you need to do to prepare your illustrations to work within Fontlab but I tried to show you the most basic way to work in Fontlab.
Later on I will be creating far more extensive videos that will teach you much more that you can do within Fontlab. At Go Media we are going to start sharing video tutorials of how we do some cool tricks and tips on how to work better in creative software.
I have never done a video tutorial before so your feedback is greatly appreciated! Please let me know what you think and how I can improve!
My name is Christopher Michael Giuseppe Comella (chris) and it’s been 2 days since my last drink…..I mean… I’m Chris and I work at Go Media. I’m a designer of both tangible and digital work, and where my passion lies is at the bridging of those two mediums. Not only in the literal sense of print and web design, but at the core idea of good design being able to traverse many creative platforms. I appreciate idea-based design, but at the same time I also appreciate design that acts on an emotional and visceral level. I’ve been a member of Go Media since September of 07′ and I’m loving it. I love Being in Cleveland contributing to it’s (creative) development.
