Art and Design

promnightshirt500.jpg

This is a new shirt design that I did for some merch for a fairly popular screamy post-hardcore band. It was accepted and the design might actually see the cotton threads of a comfy shirt one day. Let’s hope that the printer is able to print it as it is in the mockup and not just crop it and center it on the shirt.

By the way, you can “love” or “comment” on this design if you want over at emptees.com - which by the way the community is really expanding lots of great designers post there. Rob Dobi, Horsebites, ATK Studios, Chris Rushing, etc. Lots of em. So if you’re a t-shirt designer or just a fan of this stuff in general, join and participate. Make the community even better!

i would never guess this was for Bullet For My Valentine. i’m not a large fan of the band but i would most definitely rock this shirt. i love it.

  7. Jeff Says:

Yeah it’s for BFMV and this is not designed in illustrator. It’s all in Photoshop.

Jeff: As always - sweet product! If the printer can pull it off and it’s reasonably priced to do “one-offs” - can you post the information here? thx [m]

Seen the design on Emptees initially and totally fell in love (hopefully that doesn’t give off the wrong signal, I’m not at all sexually attracted to skulls, honestly)

I would love for gomedia to start spitting out more Tee’s, hoodies, any apparel of this caliber.

    Great job

Thanx for the info - I just thought all designs for tees had to be done in illustrator. Great to know I was wrong then and that you can also use photoshop. I suppose the size must match the tee and in 300 dpi?

  11. nath Says:

thats nice and dandy and all making skellys with hair crawlin on t-shirts for some ridiculous hardcore scream-yeah band. but what i want to know is other than fall of troy what bands do ya’llz like? i desire a post about the people that make up go mediazine.

  12. Jeff Says:

Dose - yeah it can even be smaller too, even at 150 DPI it won’t look terrible. But yeah I try to do it at 100% size at 300 DPI.

  13. DOSEprodSAM Says:

Thx Jeff for the info ! again nice work !

  17. Gunslinger Says:

Awesome design, Jeff … love the use of colors in this one. I think I need a bigger DTG printer, before I can handle all over designs! And thanks for turning me on to the emptees site, some amazing tee designers out there!!
