Here’s a shirt design I’m working on for the band Mastodon courtesy of Warner Bros. Records. They are great because they allow our designers to be really creative and have fun.

Switching to Painter X from Ray Frenden on Vimeo.
I found this video while reading my friend Ray Frenden’s blog. It’s a different take on doing digital inks. This time he’s using Painter instead of his usual Manga Studio. Notice he’s not using Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator? It’s because he uses a Wacom tablet, and the pressure sensitivity is much better supported in Painter and Manga Studio. Those are more “drawing” programs than AI or PS.

Gitamba,
Actually, I am inking with a real paint brush (#2) and India ink. This is not a digital inking.

Oh wow, that’s awesome, I was wondering because the digital ink you guys do is something I’m trying to learn because manipulating strokes in illustrator with a mouse is getting lol taxing.

With regards to a school… please read my comments following the article: “An Open Letter to Students” also posted on this blog.
We don’t have a strong opinion on schools. It’s a somewhat subjective thing.
Collect all the info you can and pick the school that you think best fits you.

I got a glimpse of the final and thought it was a cover for Thor. Would be a cool sequence with some close-ups, fists and lightning in our face.
