Can't remember the way KPT did it, but I actually love the way illustrator offers free distort, way nicer than Photoshop does it! (Object > Envelope distort > Make with mesh…)

I guess I am confused as the what the differences are between the two. InD has some great tint/blend features, but otherwise they seem pretty similar to me from what I can recall.

I'd like to see them behave just as they do in InDesign. Nothing more or less really. I've had to spec PMS in Illy and it is clumsy at best. InDesign is a snap. I wouldn't change a thing from InDesign's swatch palette really.

I agree with Von's Ai suggestions, though I will offer two of my own - the ability to adjust the px/inch settings on the rulers, as in Photoshop, i.e. 100px increments; also, has anyone else noticed their Ai guides spontaneously locking themselves? I rarely lock them myself with the shortcut (I prefer using a dedicated 'guide' layer and locking the layer instead) - I don't know if it's a bug or what, but it really annoys me!

Like others I've a lot of respect for Von. Not only is he a talented artist he's also a nice fellow and gives a lot back to other artists through sites like his illustrationclass.com
