In general, the nice thing about some of these lower-cost vector apps is the various ways the creation of vectors and bézier curves are handled. Many former Freehand users have an aversion to Adobe Illustrator, now that they are required to switch since Adobe's purchase of Macromedia.

Some of these boutique vector apps have more intuitive controls for certain types of vector object creation.

And on top of that, it's good to see features in other apps which we can then request for inclusion in future versions of Adobe Illustrator.

In general I posted this for the discount code. As an Adobe Illustrator/Creative Suite user, I'll stick with Ai for the file compatibility and industry-standard nature of the Adobe apps, but for some out there without a need for the Creative Suite, apps like Lineform might be the perfect tool for occasional vector work.
