Great article. I think it's fine to have gray text on white. It makes black stand out more. Elements like the publishing date may not be that important, so why make it black?

Excellent advice on contrasting colors and Web design. A design that is not easy on the eyes is much more likely to get a bounce that one that is appealing.

Kuler is the coolest one. I love that you can save out the color theme as a swatch library that you can use in any of the Adobe Suite.

Good take on contrast. One doesn't really had to have a good eye, you just have to picture yourself as the visitor.
