It’s time to give away some more free stuff to all you loyal readers. This time it’s some free hi res watercolor textures. They are both part of our latest Watercolor Texture Pack and one of them is designed by the amazing My Dead Pony. Here are some examples of stuff we have done using watercolor textures just like what we are giving you.

The best way to use these are to open them up in Photoshop and adjust their Blending Modes. Try using them as a multiply layer or a screen layer. Experiment! Here are a few more examples and finally the link to download the watercolor textures.

Hey can you please help me? How do I put theese into my vector design? Is there any way to have diffrent backround not white? Thaks a lot for answer...
  • It's awesome!!
  • shtiipeq - if you want to use these in Illustrator, try placing the image in by selecting File > Place. But when working with big textures like this, your best bet is Photoshop. Get your vector files into Photoshop and work with them there.

Sorry... I'm stupid I could read this in the article already... But I've played with it a few and I discovered that it's not so hard to ive trace it(I think I made it with colour 16 settings) then I've deleted the white and almost white colours(with selecting one white part and then select>same>fill colour and then delete) and then turn the transparency dwn a bit and you can use it just like shown in the first picture with all the advantages of vectors...
  • Very nice! Thanks!
  • thank you for sharing the goodies, im in love
