About the Author, William Beachy

I grew up in Cleveland Hts. Ohio and was drawing constantly. As a child I took art classes at the Cleveland Institute of Art and eventually became known as the "class artist." I graduated from The Ohio State University's department of Industrial Design. I have always tried to blend my passion for illustration with Graphic Design. Go Media was the culmination of my interests for both business and art. I'm trying to build a company that is equally considerate of our designers AND our clients.

Nice talk about the weird paradox between your design work and the arsenal work.

    • Jeff Finley

yeah it’s a series, although won’t be “daily” – but once per month.

  • William A. Beachy

For the record – this is the first time I’ve ever recorded myself giving inspirational talks like this. I hope I don’t come across conceited in any way. These ramblings are my personal opinions born through a lifetime of failures and struggles. I hope you find them helpful in some way.

Oh! And I came up with most of these inspiration topics on my own. But I think it would be MUCH more useful if I got questions from my fellow designers and businessmen – and ladies.

Bill they are awesome! You answered the question i asked you on twitter. Brainstorms is my twitter name. I watched all of the videos yesterday and i really think they will be a great outlet for designers to gain knowledge and advice from someone who is a major contributor to the design world! Stay well. P.S didn’t come off conceited at all.

very cool. Thanks Jeff and people of gomedia (Jeff is probably my favorite). The worst part of the video was the windows box in the background! Talk about killing creativity. Another discussion for another time, but a blank wall may have been better.

    • Jeff Finley

I’m so tired of the PC vs Mac debate. Give it a rest!

      • BigVince

Same here, but seriously, if I were hi, I’d at least have had a cool design up in photoshop or something on the screen, or maybe an arsenal vector set.

        • Jeff Finley

Bill’s got one of his rad pencil drawings up there, which needs neither Mac nor PC, so take that! :-)

        • Geoff May

Feel free to shoot your own video and then put any design on any OS platform that you wish.

One about the “blank page syndrome” could be cool. Also, what about one on daily little creativity exercises (like the one Oliver did with Completely Incomplete”?).
