About the Author, William Beachy

I grew up in Cleveland Hts. Ohio and was drawing constantly. As a child I took art classes at the Cleveland Institute of Art and eventually became known as the "class artist." I graduated from The Ohio State University's department of Industrial Design. I have always tried to blend my passion for illustration with Graphic Design. Go Media was the culmination of my interests for both business and art. I'm trying to build a company that is equally considerate of our designers AND our clients.

Beautiful, I really appreciate that insight. I’m not an illustrator, but it always helps to know that practice is the key to being as good as you want.

Thanks for your thoughts, I totally agree, just this last year I forced myself to stop going directly to the computer for every project and to take the time to sketch it out. Now I take my sketchbook and pencil just about everywhere I go!

Artistic/creative paralysis is awful…my mind goes 90 mph when I’m trying to sleep and when I get up and grab my sketchbook, I just stare at a blank page.  This post really helps me to see the importance of just taking a step forward and letting loose.  Thanks!
