“Bold is Beautiful” shirt finally printed!

Turquoise Flag-Tip

I’m happy to finally be able to tell everyone that this shirt has been printed and is for sale! It couldn’t have come at a better time (on my 26th birthday!). I take my hat off to the people at Design by Humans who were able to print the “unprintable” so to speak. People gave me shit for designing something that could never be printed while others gave me praise for doing the same. I’m glad DBH was able to step up and get this done. 9 colors too!

I think DBH should post an article or tutorial on how they printed it. Because everyone wants to know. Btw, anyone at DBH reading this should consider how an article or video about it could be used as a great marketing tool. Let us know if you do, we’ll be sure to post it here.

Edit: DBH Flickr Photos of the Process

Anyway, thanks to everyone who voted and added their support. If you buy this, please send me photos of you wearing it!

Buy it here!

Good gawd. I thought it was a neat design, but this is ridiculously awesome on a shirt. Congrats! This is just flat out amazing, and I’m dying to know how DBH did it.

Also happy birthday! [did they plan that? that's just too weird for a coincidence]

    Buying one right now.

    Hehe, funny!

I placed an article on my website about “12 inspirational shirt designs”. This shirt is on the list too, even without knowing it was yours.

    Congratulations on the print!

    Greetings,
    Marco

That was obviously created in photoshop. How in the world did you create the color separations, or did DBH do that?

Unbelievable design! It is soooo SWWEETTT!

    TomTheJarhead,
Please enlighten me. I can’t figure it out. In picture DBH 023 it looks like some of the white splatters are printed off of the platen for one?? Secondly, if not simulated process, what other method uses 9 screens and has that range of color? As Jeff mentioned, a tutorial would be wonderful.

Ridiculously cool on a shirt. Will there be “white” t-shirts printed as well? Today we are experiencing a major heat advisory in Philly. This design makes it unbearable…sick outcome. Love it!

I agree with everyone else that is an amazing design, and as a designer who is new to the screen printing side of things I want to see a tutorial. Especially on how the separations were done. I am having difficulties with the screen printer I am working with he can’t seem to get some of my gradients right and my designs are not turning out how I would like them to. Anything tutorials you guys have about creating separations lay them on me, please.
