Go Media Office Construction Update

Jun 26

News

Hey true believers, I wanted to give everyone a quick update on the status of Go Media’s new headquarters. Well, they say construction takes twice as long and costs twice as much as you estimate. This is absolutely wrong. In fact, it takes THREE TIMES as long and costs THREE TIMES as much. go hqBut I’m not here to complain – I’m actually very excited. Real construction has begun on our new offices! Move-in will (hopefully) be some time this coming fall. I won’t jinx us by saying anything else.. but, here are some pictures of the space under construction.

I was born in the Louisiana bayou and slept on a mud floor until I was 16. Ok, that's not really true. I grew up in Cleveland Hts. Ohio and had a nice cushy bed. I was drawing constantly as a child, took art classes and eventually became the "class artist." I graduated from The Ohio State University's department of Industrial Design. I have always been trying to blend my passion for illustration with solid Graphic Design. Go Media was the culmination of my passion for both business and art. I'm trying to build a company that is equally awesome for the designers AND our clients.

so is this construction from the ground up or is it a renovation and how about posting some renderings of what the finished building is anticipated to look like, that would be nifty.

    thanks again.

The spot looks like it's going to be the sickest creative fairyland in all of graphic design world...looks like some serious s@*t is about to go down over there once it's all up. I'm on for the ride. Looking good guys!!!

This is looking to be an amazing place, but I'm not surprised at all. Everything you do is 110% Congrats again and again on this awesome endeavor.
  • looking great guys, can't wait to see the finished result. You deserve it.
  • Yeah - currently we have 12 people crammed into about 900 sq. feet. So, we've gone from one guy in an apartment, to two guys in the first floor of a duplex, to two guys in a new townhouse, to 12 people in a new (slightly used) townhouse, to 12 people in a 5,000 sq. foot warehouse office!

    It's really exciting.

I've been cleaning, sanding, painting, sawing, scraping, etc. etc. etc. for months now. I work here till 6, then go work there. But it's kind of fun... like being able to physically work on making a dream come true: immediate satisfaction.
  • looking good! i still remember when the company i was working for was a full 3-people strong, and moving from our half-a-bedroom sized office in the back of an office building into a storefront... exciting times indeed! although the sanding and painting was a pain in the ass.

That's really exciting you guys! It's also really coming together. I love building because you see something go from literally nothing into a beautiful, finished product. I know it must be really fun for you guys to watch and anticipate.
