The original Men’s T-Shirt Templates was the debut Template Pack back in August 2008. In the process of making two more Template packs & an Advanced Hoodie Design Package, we learned a few new tricks about how to create fantastic photorealistic apparel mock-ups. Now, six months after the initial release, we’ve integrated those features into T-Shirt Templates 2.0!

What’s new?

Quite a bit. Each shirt has more advanced shading layers such as highlights & color-sensitive shadows. These shadows and highlights are not just part of the shirt, but applied to your design during the mock-up process to make it appear truly ‘printed’.

Thanks to a tip from Jimiyo, we updated & streamlined the masking process using clipping masks. Now it’s really as simple as pasting your design onto the “Your Art” layer – no hiccups or locked layer masks to worry about.

We also added preset material colors that are optimized with subtle color variations to look real. You can see in the screen shot there are now added optional lighting & vignette effect layers for extra photographic realism.

Finally, we added three “new” composite shirts made by layering the shadows from several shirts together. They’re my new favorite in the pack.

Free Upgrade to Current Users

If you’re already a proud owner of the original T-Shirt Templates – a free upgrade is coming your way! Keep an eye on your email for the low-down on getting the good stuff.

If you’ve looked on lovingly at other mock-ups on Design By Humans and Emptees, there’s no better time than now to easily get professional mock-ups of your designs. Besides, now you know how generous we’ll be when version 3.0 comes out!

Suggest a feature for version 3.0

That’s right, share your ideas & we’ll use them to create an even better mock-up template! Tell us what would make these templates harder, better, faster, or stronger & we’ll do what we can to make it happen.

Is it possible to use actual shirt brands like A.A etc? I know, theres way to many brands and styles to choose from but just a suggestion.
  • Very Simple and great for designing
  • A new video, or written tutorial that shows best how to make use of the new features would be helpful.
  • @ Esteban, Yea, a pocket on a seperate layer that could be hidden or shown would be cool as well. I'll try to get that worked out.

    @Max - email me adam@gomedia.us & we'll get it worked out

I have yet to receive an email regarding the upgrade. I purchased the tee pack a couple months ago.
  • Edward
It would be sweet if you had v-necks and polos aswell.

It may be neat if you had preset colors that matched popular shirt brands. You could have a layer folder for say American Apparel and inside could be layers named by style number. It's alot of work but you could probably sell color add-on packs by brand for say $5 each.
  • Esteban
Also a couple t-shirts with chest pocket. I screen print for other people and some customers want their design on the pocket.
  • @Esteban & Don Van - great ideas about the tags. I'll get right on that.
  • Don Van
It'd be nice to have the tees without the collar tags on them. Other than that the templates are top notch!
  • Esteban
Downloading as of now. I was using a vector shirt for the mockups. So cartoonish. So affordable too. Thanks.

A good feature would be to remove the tag so we can put our brand. Or a blank tag. Or add a close up with a bottom tag like the one from Paint the Stars Joker one. It has the batman logo.
  • @alanvalek interesting. I had attempted to make an adjustment layer that distorted the art to appear on the shirt... but none of the distortion filters are available as adjustment layers.

An action would be a good compromise.
  • I would include an action so you can use the shadow / highlight layers as a displacement map so the design bends. That feature freaks out a lot of people so that would be a good one to include for your customers I think.
  • @David @ste,
For sure! Email me at adam@gomedia.us & we'll figure it out
  • You guys are outstanding.
    thanks.

the lighting effect will be nice. i agree, side views would be good, maybe a few different angles even..
  • Awesome work as usual guys.
A upcoming feature could MAYBE patterns (like on the hoodie template) and for sure some side views of the shirt(s).
  • Ayo, these templates are great and have found plenty of use in my work, but it'd be great if there were some that appeared to be worn by a model (or dummy).

  • Thanks! Are you able to look me up by name to see that I indeed purchased these? There is no record on My Arsenal when I sign in. Help!

    Thanks
    David

Sweet! The T-shirt pack is definately my favourite thing I've bought from the Arsenal so far, and I'm looking forward to 2.0 XD XD
  • Thanks brian & Lance! Everybody else - any suggestions for further improvement?

Although I'm no proud owner of mentioned packs, I think it's a really nice gesture.
