Help us get our shirts printed and get an Arsenal Discount!

So we have finally decided to do something about our long list of purely digital mockups that make up a large part of our portfolio. We’re finally getting them printed.
But we need your help. We have decided to use Design by Humans to print our tees. DBH is a contest site much like Threadless, but a lot of my peers over at Emptees have had some great success with the site and their printing quality and capabilities.
The only catch is we need to get a lot of votes in order to be printed. But I am pretty confident that with all of our fans and loyal readers of this blog we can pull it off. You need to sign up and vote for the tees that you want printed and if they get enough votes, they will!
We get emails on a daily basis, no joke, about people wanting to buy the shirts on our site. We don’t advertise that they’re for sale and there is no add to cart button, but people are going out of their way to ask. And I always have had bad news to tell them that they were in fact just mockups and not available for purchase. It’s a drag.
Why use DBH? Why not print yourself?
We’ve gone back and forth with trying to find a printer that can do our designs justice and print like the mockups, but it’s been difficult. There is also a large upfront cost to printing shirts ourselves. Which is normally fine if we’re just doing some simple spot color designs on the center of the shirt. But what we want are the jumbo prints, the full color simulations, etc. It’s not easy and it’s certainly not cheap for us to print. So that’s why we’re trying out DBH. Everything I’ve heard says they can do it. So let’s find out!
I need you to get out and vote for us. Our first submission is Bold is Beautiful. This is definitely the most requested shirt on our site. We really want to have this available for people to purchase, even if it is on Design by Humans and not directly on our site. So go to the site, sign up and give us a vote if you want to see this shirt printed and hopefully on your body!

As incentive, we’ll give you a 15% discount off everything in our Arsenal - if you use the code “DBH08” you can get the discount. This code will expire on Friday at 6pm EST so you must use it in the next day or two.
So thanks a bunch, let’s do this together!

I’ve recently seen some quality shirts at a trade show for Jaxprints. You guys must have used them before considering one of their embroidery samples in their catalog is your logo. They seemed to be able to do incredible prints, full size, colors, etc… And I’m pretty sure they are in your neck of the woods. Anyway, I was impressed with them and am just wondering if there is something wrong with them?
Love the designs and I will be voting for sure!

Travis - yeah I know, if people wanna use the code without voting, that’s up to them. True fans and believers in our work will vote for us anyway. It’s just my way of saying thanks. We hope get a lot more printed this way.
Shaus - Jakprints are good friends of ours. They are great at what they do, but in terms of the specialty printing, they’re not as convenient for us. Often times the prices are too much for us to bear and it can be a hassle going back and forth on expensive press proofs to make sure things are the way we like em.
We do use Jakprints for a LOT of other things though, postcards, brochures, business cards, posters. And simpler t-shirts too.

Jeff - Are there any direct printing solutions that would do your designs justice? Or do you need color separations to get the full GM love?
love your work and inspiration. Thanks for all the toots. [m]

Beast - I honestly am not the expert on printing solutions, I have heard of various ways of doing it, though.
